Terms of Service
Last updated: August 26, 2026
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Health Journey ("AuraCode," "we," "us") covering your use of aurahealthjourney.com and everything on it. By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use AuraCode.
What AuraCode is — and is not
AuraCode is an educational and navigation tool. It helps you understand procedure codes in plain language, find your insurer's published medical policies, estimate potential costs, and draft documents such as appeal letters.
AuraCode does not provide medical, legal, tax, or insurance advice. We are not a healthcare provider, health plan, insurance producer, or law firm, and nothing here creates a provider-patient or attorney-client relationship. We do not make coverage determinations, and we cannot guarantee that a plan will approve a service, reverse a denial, or pay a particular amount. Always confirm benefits, eligibility, prior authorization, and network status directly with your health plan and treating provider before making a decision about your care.
Accuracy of information
Insurer policies, provider directories, code descriptions, prior-authorization rules, and regulator contact details change frequently. We work to keep our information current and link to official sources wherever possible, but we do not warrant that any information on AuraCode is complete, current, or error-free. The official source — your plan documents, your insurer, and your state regulator — always controls.
Cost estimates
Cost estimates are illustrative projections based on the information you enter and on general pricing patterns. They are not quotes, and they are not binding on us, on any provider, or on any health plan. Your actual out-of-pocket cost depends on your plan design, deductible status, negotiated rates, the site of care, and the codes ultimately billed.
Generated documents
Appeal letters, comparison reports, and pre-service packages are drafts prepared from the details you provide. You are responsible for reviewing every document for accuracy before you send it, and for confirming your plan's appeal deadlines and submission requirements. We recommend having your treating physician review any clinical statements and, where the stakes are significant, consulting an attorney or a patient advocate. Purchasing a document does not guarantee any particular outcome with your insurer.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to be responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at support@aurahealthjourney.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Subscriptions, purchases, and billing
AuraCode offers a free tier, paid subscription plans, and one-time purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing, you also accept Stripe's terms. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable tax, which is calculated at checkout.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account page or by emailing us; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for. We may change subscription pricing with advance notice to active subscribers, effective at your next renewal.
Refunds
Subscription payments are non-refundable once a billing period has begun, except where required by law. One-time document purchases are refundable if you request a refund before the document is generated. Once a document has been generated and delivered, it is non-refundable, because the deliverable has been provided in full.
If something went wrong — a charge you did not authorize, a duplicate charge, or a document that failed to generate — email support@aurahealthjourney.com within 30 days and we will make it right.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use AuraCode for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
- Submit information about another person without that person's permission, or impersonate anyone
- Scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute our content, code catalog, or generated documents as a competing service
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, access other users' data, probe our security, or interfere with the operation of the site
- Upload malicious code or use automated systems in a way that degrades the service
Agent and API connections
If you connect an AI assistant or other client to AuraCode, that client acts on your behalf and can access your account data within the permissions you approve. You are responsible for the clients you authorize and for revoking access when you no longer want it.
Intellectual property
AuraCode, its design, written content, and software are owned by Health Journey and protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the site and the documents you generate for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, including submitting them to your insurer or provider. All other rights are reserved. Procedure code sets and insurer materials referenced on the site remain the property of their respective owners.
Third-party links and services
AuraCode links to insurer websites, state regulators, marketplaces, and other outside resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.
Disclaimer of warranties
AuraCode is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Health Journey will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, denied claims, or medical costs, arising out of or relating to your use of AuraCode. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Health Journey from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of AuraCode, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of information about another person without permission.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using AuraCode and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use puts other users or the service at risk. If we terminate your paid account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify active account holders by email. Continuing to use AuraCode after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either of us from seeking relief in small claims court.
